Thanks to sponsorship from IBM United Kingdom Laboratories, a number of student bursaries will be available to help full-time (undergraduate and postgraduate) students with the expense of attending ZUM'97.
Applicants should send a statement via e-mail to Norah Power powern@ul.ie, cc'ed to Mike Hinchey, hinchey@cis.njit.edu, briefly stating what they expect to gain from attending, and clearly indicating any other sources of funding available to them (e.g., from their institution, funding body, etc.). A brief e-mail message from your supervisor, supporting the application, is also required.
Applications and supporting statements must be received by 3rd MARCH 1997. All applications will be acknowledged. Decisions will be made and all applicants informed by the 10th March 1997.
Please note that bursaries will not cover all the expenses of attending the conference, and applicants should secure some funding from their own institution. Recipients of bursaries may be asked to assist with minor administrative duties at the conference.
