Students who wish to attend the 11th International Conference of Z
Users (ZUM'98) which is to take place 24-26 September 1998 in Berlin,
Germany may be interested in the following:

A number of student bursaries will be available to help full-time
(undergraduate and postgraduate) students with the expense of attending
ZUM'98.

Applicants should send a statement via e-mail.

The email should have a subject line of `ZUM'98 bursary request' and be
sent to Norah Power <Norah.Power@ul.ie>, cc'ed to Prof. Mike Hinchey.
<michael.hinchey@ul.ie>, the Conference Chair. Your message should
briefly state what they expect to gain from attending, and clearly
indicating any other sources of funding available to them (e.g., from
their institution, funding body, etc.).  A brief e-mail message from
your supervisor, supporting the application, is also required.

Applications and supporting statements must be received by 17th AUGUST
1998. All applications will be acknowledged. Decisions will be made and
all applicants informed by the 21st August 1998.

Please note that bursaries will not cover all the expenses of attending
the conference, and applicants should secure some funding from their
own institution. Recipients of bursaries may be asked to assist with
minor administrative duties at the conference.
